In honor of Earth Day, XDI employees joined hands with
I Love A Clean San Diego (ILACSD) to support the
Creek to Bay Cleanup on Saturday, April 20, 2024. The group gathered at Dixon Lake in Escondido, just north of XDI’s San Diego facility. The
Creek to Bay Cleanup is one of the largest single-day environmental action events in the county. The importance of this effort is centered on the fact that over 80% of coastal pollution begins inland. As ILACSD reports, when litter enters our local watersheds, it flows downstream and into the Pacific Ocean, negatively impacting infrastructure and becoming a harmful threat to the health of both marine wildlife and humans. To do our part to preserve our environment, the XDI team collected trash along the trails of Dixon Lake, contributing to I Love A Clean San Diego’s overall annual goal of removing half a million pounds of debris.
